After questioning students around our high school on crucial information regarding copyright laws, it was quickly evident that students are not as informed as they should be. We took it upon ourselves to make a video meant to educate students on pertinent information so that they can avoid copyright infringement.

I think the part about how long copyrights last for was very interesting. I didn't realize that 70 years after the creator's death, the copyrighted work enters the public domain. That was a useful piece of information.
SInce I didn't really know anything about minors before thanks for teaching me that copyrights are eligble in other countries, that minors can uphold copyrights and that most copyrights last for I think you said the authors lifetime plus 72 years.
Do students actually not know the truth about copyright laws? But more so, is it actually that important that we know this? Being able to differentiate between terms like copyright and trademark are obviously important and it's interesting that copyright laws last throughout the lifetime of whoever it is plus another 78 years. But I'm curious as to the things that don't apply as well. For example, the things that can be copyrighted are listed, but when do people run into problems copyrighting things because they can't be?
This video was very modern. I related to it because I believe it was meant to be for an audience like me. It was easy to follow along and it was humorous which grabbed my attention. The audio was a little soft so it was hard to hear all the information being said. I think that it was interesting and a great idea to find out if their are copyrights in other countries. I found that very exceptional and it was out of the box thinking. Great Video.
In my opinion, copyright laws are a necessity in order to ensure that an artist recieves credit for the work that they have done. Through this informational video, I believe that copyright laws are unfortunately not as well known as previously thought. However, I think that this group did a fantastic job informing the general public about copyright laws and why they are important. Specifically, I learned that copyright laws that are passed in the United States apply in other countries to give the artists credit for the work they have done.
Wow, i thought this was a great video, The audio was a little to quite so it was hard to hear but everything else was great. I had no idea that after 70years of copyright the item enters into public domain meaning anyone can use it.
