Allie Kaplan's Leadership Philosophy

My Leadership Philosophy
“The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. He is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things.”  ― Ronald Reagan
I believe being a good leader you have to listen to everyone and be able to adjust so everyone understands you. I am a democratic leader and I try to include everyone in decisions and I hope to be the type of leader who inspires people to work the best they can and want to inspire others. Below are my top ten qualities I believe should be in a good leader. I hope to have all these qualities in my everyday life.

1. Think Win- Win
Go in to each situation with a plan and all the possible outcomes to make sure everyone involved succeeds.

2. Listen
Listen to your employees, it shows them respect and it will lead them to be more successful in their jobs. In return they will respect you because of it.

3. Motivate
If you are a motivated leader then your team will be motivated to reach their goal.

4. Be open to Ideas
Good leaders are open minded because they never know where a good idea will come from or when it will come. Also you have to be flexible when unexpected situations come up.

5. Communicate
Communication is key! It's impossible to be successful without good communication.

6. Lead By Example
To be a good leader is not bossing people around, but teaching people and setting the example.

7. Take Time For Yourself
Make sure you take time for yourself to maintain your health and take a break once in a while. So you come back stronger than ever, with more energy to tackle the job ahead.

8.Be Accountable
Take responsibility for your actions both good and bad. Do not put them on someone else.

9. Passion
Leaders have to be passionate about the jobs their working on and leading their teams because it will rub off on to the staff and then they will want to do the best they can.

10. Challenge
Great leaders challenge themselves and their team everyday to succeed in something new.
